Having been timeshare owners since 2000, we have enjoyed many years of the magnificent WorldMark family life, in all manner of luxury from the east to the west of Australia and Tasmania, as well as New Zealand

Following a week in Fiji in May we were home a week and then onto Sydney for another four nights.

Although we live in Sydney, we are about 60 kilometres from the CBD so have found Wyndham Sydney Suites to be perfect for either a weekend stop to take in a show, or simply enjoy some shopping, or head off to the beach to relax. The team in Sydney are just like family and always make you feel right at home.

Broome: “Idyllic and relaxing”

As it is nearly ten months now since David and I spent a week at Ramada Eco Beach Resort, Broome, we have had time to reflect on our stay.

We were invited to a Godson’s wedding which was to take place in July on a crocodile farm two-and-a-half hours west of Katherine, NT.  This invitation was the catalyst for a two-month trip, starting in the north east of Victoria, making our way to Lawn Hill National Park in Queensland via many interesting places along the way.  We began our camping when we reached Adel’s Grove in this National Park and spent most nights in our tent from there until we reached Eco Beach.

By this stage we were looking forward to a few comforts that camping doesn’t offer!  Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed and given iced tea and a cool cloth prior to our check in.  We then found our way to our Garden Villa which was home for a week.  Our villa was very well appointed, comfortable and secluded.  There happens to be an excellent restaurant on site, the temptation of which was too much to refuse.

Ramada Marcoola Beach: “We were not disappointed”

scott-maria-fraser

2017 started off well for our family, with a stay at Ramada Marcoola Beach (Sunshine Coast) for three nights on New Year’s Day.

We were not disappointed either, enjoying everything from the spacious rooms, short walk to the beach for body surfing, relaxing in the heated pool and going on a leisurely ride around the area on the resort bikes. The Surf Air restaurant onsite is also not to be missed, as they serve up delicious food and it’s a comfortable area to sit back, relax, have a drink and unwind.

Our holiday was everything we expected and we will certainly be going back for more this year.

100 Club Event: Seven Mile Beach

Nineteen 100 Club members enjoy the very best of Tasmania over four unforgettable days.

Story by Candice Dittman, Sales Program Manager, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific

On Wednesday 30 November 2016, nineteen 100 Club members – accompanied by a handful of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific staff members and Executives – kicked off one of the most memorable 100 Club events to date.

The event began at the beautiful Brooke St. Pier in Hobart with a signature cocktail and canapés in the stunning Glass House restaurant, before moving downstairs for dinner in Brooke St Larder. The restaurant was closed off especially for our 100 Club guests, who received personal attention throughout the event.

I think their faces tell the story.

Oasis of the Seas: Caribbean Cruise

After a very exciting four-week trip across the USA, we set sail from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on a seven-night Caribbean cruise.

We left sunny Fort Lauderdale standing on the top deck of the cruiseliner, sipping a cocktail, watching the coastline disappear from view … life doesn’t get much better than this.

USA: “Four fabulous weeks of travel across the USA”

Hi! Both my husband Michael and I have been members of WorldMark South Pacific Club for over 13 years, achieving Privileges Platinum level. Recently, we documented four fabulous weeks of travel across the USA followed by another week of cruising in the Caribbean.

The journey begins …

Los Angeles

The weather here was sunny and warm to hot. The highlights were Disneyland, Universal Studios and Hollywood, even though Hollywood wasn’t what I thought it would be … it turned out to be quite dirty and cramped with construction work in front of Mann’s Chinese Theatre and most of the surrounding streets.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

Where the stars are immortalised on Hollywood Boulevard! It has more than 2,500 stars spread over 18 blocks and over 10 million visitors a year. We could only do a few blocks due to time restrictions, but what a thrill to be here.

The Hollywood Sign was initially Hollywood Land sales. Originally made from timber, it was rebuilt in metal and is now an icon.

Rodeo Drive was very exciting. Beverly Wiltshire Hotel is where Pretty Woman was filmed. The street is lined with exclusive shops such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, etc. so I could only window shop. There were lots of prestige cars such as Mercedes, Ferrari etc. to look at.

Denarau Island: “We love everything about this resort”

On the 3rd of July this year we flew from Brisbane to Wyndham Resort Denarau Island (Fiji) for a one-week stay. This holiday with our daughter Lauren, son Matt and daughter-in-law Melinda had been planned for four years, since Matt and Melinda had returned from living and working in the UK. The holiday was originally planned for May to coincide with our (Bevan and I) 35th wedding anniversary but as Matt is a school teacher we had to wait until the July school holidays. The holiday was even more special, as we had become grandparents to precious Oliver in late December of 2015, so this was his first overseas trip! The family time was so special and gave us a chance to spend quality time with Oliver and get to know him better.

The staff at the resort were so good with children. Oliver was greeted with so much joy by everyone that we encountered.

Bevan and I stayed at Wyndham Resort Denarau Island ten years ago, for our 25th wedding anniversary. It’s safe to say our stay this year will not be our last. We love everything about this resort – friendly staff, excellent accommodation, fine dining options and most importantly time to rest and relax.

I have attached a photo of a beautiful Fijian sunset with us all enjoying this spectacular sight – as you must!

California, USA: “A great holiday with some great memories”

It was my husband’s 60th Birthday and the 30th anniversary of when we first met in USA, so to celebrate both occasions we decided on a trip to California, USA. We wanted to restrict it to two weeks so that it would fit in the September school holidays.

We decided on Anaheim due to the theme parks and San Diego because going to the San Diego Zoo was high up on my children’s bucket list.

We stayed at Worldmark Anaheim resort and Wyndham Inn at the Park at San Diego. We only had points to cover one week, but by borrowing on next year’s point we had enough to cover the whole accommodation. September is a good time to go because it is not peak season in USA, however the weather is still warm.

At Anaheim we went to Disneyland for two days and to Universal Studios on one day. The kids loved Disneyland of course. My husband and I really enjoyed Universal Studios, especially the Studio Tour which included a 360-degree 3D show of King Kong versus T-Rex. The special effects show was interesting and the kids loved the animal actors show. The Minions 3D ride was fun and it was so warm that day that the kids walked through the Water Park with their clothes on just to cool down. (Hint: bring swimming costumes for the kids.)
