Had an amazing week at Ramada Port Douglas(QLD) where I got to celebrate my 40th birthday. What more could I ask for?
It was peaceful, relaxing and I managed to cross off items from my bucket list such as Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge and Port Douglas itself. The floating in the pool while watching the cricket final was pretty close to the best part of the holiday.

Thank you to the resort staff as they were always friendly and extremely helpful.
To celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary we decided to take advantage of our WorldMark Ownership and travel around some of the USA’s National Parks. We stayed at WorldMark resorts in St George, Wolf Creek, West Yellowstone, Steamboat Springs, Estes Park, Santa Fe, Pinetops, Phoenix and Las Vegas. On this incredible journey we travelled over 10,000kms in six weeks and saw some magnificent scenery and wildlife. Continue reading →
It’s been two sleeps in my own bed and two days of washing and unpacking. What I am unfolding is not just a piece of clothing that holds a faint odour of ‘suitcase’, but also holds the memory of a recent experience that I shared with my family of a wonderful trip around the USA. It was five week marathon that was designed to be ‘the’ once-in-a-lifetime holiday for our family to enjoy before the children grow up and get parentitis, or we grow up and get dodgy knees!
The destination, USA, a choice made predominantly on the fact that we had a Wyndham membership that could be used to cut down the costs of accommodation. Besides, USA is also the home of Disney World, corn dogs and Friends isn’t it? In actual fact, the Wyndham membership was purchased three years ago with the specific plan for this holiday (and many more) in mind. It did not disappoint! Continue reading →
My wife and I have been restricted in the past when selecting holiday destinations as I am a poor traveller on aeroplanes. I have vertigo and we have always driven to WorldMark resorts and have experienced some wonderful holidays since we joined as Owners in 2001. We had not driven to your Ballarat resort as it seemed too distant; however it was strongly recommended by other Owners we had met over the years.
We made the big decision (for us), to fly to Melbourne, hire a car and drive up to Ballarat for a week at this beautiful resort. I survived the plane travel (only two hours), collected our vehicle and when we drove into the driveway at WorldMark Resort Ballarat, it was like stepping back in time. The stunning bluestone building built in 1878 greeted us and on entering noticed all the original features had been preserved. Continue reading →
It’s been a long 39 years since we toured the North and South Islands of New Zealand. Back in 1975 we were in our last year of High School and were part of a tour group of 30 people. Previously we had stayed in Queenstown and toured the Otago area in a coach. We vividly remember the rugged snow capped peaks and beautiful lakes and striking scenery.
Fast forward to July 2014. We flew from Sydney directly into Queenstown International Airport for a ten-day winter holiday. After picking up our 4WD hire car we drove in fading daylight over the snow covered Crown Range to the Wyndham resort in Wanaka. Continue reading →
