“Tassie is an amazing place, well worth the visit”

Wyndham Seven Mile Beach

I recently stayed at Wyndham Seven Mile Beach in Hobart. The rooms were very nice, the food was great and so was the customer service in the restaurant and resort. It’s close to the airport and just a short walk across the road and you have a beautiful beach!

“We’ve found our new favourite annual holiday destination at Wyndham Wanaka”

We’ve found our new favourite annual holiday destination at Wyndham Wanaka. My parents graciously gifted us with 5 nights accommodation for the 9 of us so we could take the kids to see the snow for the first time.

Wanaka2

We were amazed by the beauty of New Zealand and especially the stunning Lake Wanaka.

“Wanaka’s Scenery is Spectacular!”

Before we had children, my husband and I travelled quite a bit around the world (Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, North America). New Zealand was always on our bucket list, however because it was just “next door” we thought it was something we could always do later in life.

We finally went in January 2015 with our 7 and 10 year old children, and wondered what took us so long!! The scenery is spectacular and compares to the Rocky Mountains in Canada.

Mt Cook, New Zealand

Mt Cook, New Zealand

We spent 6 days in Wyndham Wanaka resort. Being only one hour drive from Queenstown meant we could easily go there on day trips, and the drive is so impressive that it is not a punishment to drive up a few times. There was heaps to do around Wanaka as well. The kids loved Puzzling World and the National Transport & Toy Museum. Continue reading

Our 21st Wedding Anniversary Trip to Rotorua, NZ

Rotorua railcruising | WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham

Rotorua’s newest attraction – railcruising!

Time is one of those funny things that creep up on you. Before you know it, the first of your children have moved away from home and your youngest is about to begin their final year of high school. So to celebrate our 21st wedding anniversary, my wife and I after 9 years of WorldMark Ownership took the family on our first trip overseas, spending 12 nights in amazing Rotorua, New Zealand. Holidays have changed a lot from the days where a bucket and spade would keep our two children occupied for an entire day at the beach. Thankfully the friendly staff at WorldMark Resort Rotorua lined us up with activities that would entertain our two teenagers while still giving Mum and Dad some time to relax and unwind. Christmas in Las Vegas, USA!

Las Vegas

Barbara & Trevor in Las Vegas, USA

My husband and I decided to take advantage of the fact that Christmas was mid-week in 2013 and take a week off from our business.

As we hadn’t had a real break since we went to Ramada Port Douglas for a week in July 2012, we were VERY ready to get away, but most WorldMark resorts we considered were already fully booked for Christmas.  So we started looking further afield, and finally settled on Las Vegas – a place we have never really had any great desire to visit, but WorldMark Las Vegas – Boulevard was available and L.V is close to the Grand Canyon, so we thought, ‘Why not?’. Our Wedding Anniversary in Fiji – 22 November 2013

040Hard to believe it was exactly 13 years ago that we set foot on Fijian soil as brand new Wyndham Owners, staying at WorldMark Resort Denarau Island.  We decided to elope and have our wedding ceremony on the beach, next to the pool at the resort – just Ray and I, oh and a fantastic English couple, Rob and Ann that we met at the bar earlier in the week. An Eerie ‘Outer Space Landscape’ North of Perth, WA

Pinaccles Dessert, Nambung National Park, WA

The ‘outer space landscape’ of the Pinnacles, WA

We have been Owners since September 2011. Over the last two years, we have enjoyed our stays at Port Douglas, San Francisco and Seven Mile Beach – home away from home, with friendly staff, great food and wonderful sightseeing.

However, it is our most recent trip to Western Australia last Christmas that has inspired me to share one of the unique tourist attractions of Australia – the amazing Pinnacles Desert at the Nambung National Park. Continue reading

“Perpetual Holidaying – The concept that changed our family.”

Perpetual holidaying - Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific Denarau Island

Our trip to Denarau Island, Fiji, in 2010

We’ve all been there. All those exciting months of planning and booking, the packing and anticipation of things to come. Then the big day arrives. All the last minute hustle and bustle before you jump in the car and start the infamous road trip arguments. How long till we’re there? I’m hungry. My Nintendo has gone flat. But then you see it. The first road sign that indicates you are on the final path to your much awaited destination. Continue reading
