This picture was taken recently when we travelled to Wyndham Resort & Spa Dunsborough (WA) for my son’s 2nd birthday in December 2015 and captured this amazing sculpture of big rocks at the Canal Rocks with spectacular skies and green hills.
It reminds me of old times war histories where they were shooting film for tv shows such as Robin Hood.
My brother and I travelled to Dunsborough in Western Australia to dive the Busselton Jetty.
Busselton Jetty is the longest remaining wooden pylon jetty in the southern hemisphere. It is now a marine sanctuary and is host to a great cross section of Western Australian marine life. The clarity at this time of year is very accommodating for underwater photography. The photos are a snapshot of some of the characters you will find should you come to dive here. The jetty is also one of the few dives you can do without a boat. The jetty has dive platforms and easy ladders for entry and exit. The city council here has really done this to perfection. There is even a train to take you and your gear to the end and return you to the car park after the dive.
We had never been to WA before and we would highly recommend it to all WorldMark Owners! Such a beautiful region of Australia and you truly relax while enjoying the many sites (and wineries lol) in the Margaret River region.

What a start to a perfect holiday at Wyndham Dunsborough(WA)—a mid-air flight proposal en-route Melbourne to Perth.
We started our long-planned holiday with the family of 4 (self, wife Tina, son Steven, & daughter Sarah) along with my mum (nanna) Jane, boyfriend Fabian & girlfriend Rania. This was a holiday to Perth and then a drive down to Wyndham Dunsborough, in the Margaret River country. We had heard from another Wyndham Owner that this was a great place to go to and stay. Our family have been Owners now for about 5 years, and have thoroughly enjoyed our Ownership in all aspects—–the resorts are great, well planned out, close to shops, attractions, activities, etc; the staff are most welcoming and helpful—always; the benefits of Ownership takes us to various spots not only around Australia, but even overseas. We have had the pleasure of staying at Los Angeles, Cairns, Tasmania, Sydney, Ballarat, Port Macquarie, and now Dunsborough. Continue reading →
Family in Dunsborough. My Brother & his wife came over from the UK to Australia for their retirement celebration, as well as my own retirement It’s been 11 years since we last were all together, &, adding four little girls since, here we all are again.
Due to my Ownership, I was able to treat the whole family – 9 of us staying in two Grand apartments and one 2-Bedroom Deluxe apartment in Wyndham Resort & Spa Dunsborough – spending some fun times and laughter as a family.
It was an awesome few days we had together. I was so happy and impressed, watching my 72 yr old brother playing soccer with my granddaughters, who he had never met before, on the children’s playground, then continue to teach them how to play ping pong plus chess. My brother was amazed how good the girls were at swimming and having races in the pool. Continue reading →
A beautiful Winter’s day at Dunsborough Resort, Western Australia: the sun is shining, the birds chirping, all I have to do is listen to my husband strumming on his guitar, for anything else there is the telephone, connected to someone who will bring our meals on a tray, or we can wander through the beautifully kept gardens to Toby’s restaurant, bit cool for a swim in the lovely pool but the two person spa in our bathroom makes up for that!
We come here several times a year, could easily just come and live here, just another day in paradise!
Our holiday to Fiji was doomed, Nadi was flooded and there was a cyclone approaching. This was 6 days before we were due to fly out to Denarau Island for a week. Thank goodness Wyndham came to our rescue.
With the help of the consultant, an alternative location was found for the 2 families travelling together. We had not thought of going to Dunsborough in WA before but what a fabulous place it turned out to be. There are activities suitable for everyone in the area. Continue reading →
We were ready to say goodbye to 2010 as it had been a nightmare for us.
We were due to leave on a cruise on 23 February 2010, however life dealt us a curve ball. Geoff suffered two strokes on the 19th of February, followed by two blood clots in his lungs five days later. After a very lucky escape, the next three months were spent with Geoff in full time rehabilitation, followed by a further 9 months of two days a week rehab visits to Shenton Park. Geoff’s new motto in life is he is looking at the shoots and not the roots and there are a lot of others far worse off than he is.

After joining WorldMark in 2007 and accumulating points, a girlfriend and I had a wonderful week in W.A. in 2009.
After a late evening flight we arrived in Perth to Outram and the biggest 2 bedroom apartment to relax in and enjoy for the next 3 nights. We felt very decadent with a huge bed and our own bathroom. The circle bus stop was right at our door and we had a lovely time walking and exploring by getting on and off buses. There was also some great shopping in streets nearby the resort.
