We joined Wyndham over 14 years ago – when it was still “Trendwest”. It has certainly realised all our travel needs and dreams and superseded all our expectations! We would not have been able to travel and see most of our ‘bucket list’ without our Wyndham Ownership.
This NYE, for the first time, we booked a week in Wyndham Hotel Melbourne so that we could see the Fireworks LIVE instead of on TV. We were not only impressed with the spectacular – but being together with all the other Wyndham Owners on the rooftop was most exciting and a pleasure to meet all these ‘strangers’ who have a common cause and at a common location. At the end of the spectacular light show we all became close friend with lots of hugs and congratulations for the New Year ahead!
As a long-time Owner and a big fan of Wyndham, I’ve had yet another brilliant experience with this Club.
Just over the weekend I went to Melbourne for a rare girls weekend with 2 of my dear friends. We had planned this for 9 months so our expectation was high. This trip was finally a child free weekend to see the Australian Open Tennis Championships and do some sightseeing in a city I hadn’t been to in 5 years.
Knowing that Wyndham Hotel Melbourne (VIC) was new was really exciting as I know the standard would be at the usual high rate and I wasn’t disappointed.
My husband had a birthday in April and said he wanted to have a couple of nights in the city for his present. We are both retired and on a limited budget so I thought why not use the timeshare. We only have 6,000 Credits in Wyndham, so use it for small midweek breaks usually at the end of another holiday.

We live in the outer East of Melbourne so we are familiar with the city. For a couple of months before I kept my eye out for good dinner deals on Groupon and managed one dinner at Docklands and another in South Yarra. Parking would have cost $30 per day and seeing we did not need the car we used the train. We alighted at Flagstaff Station and it was a block and a half to Wyndham Hotel Melbourne (VIC). Note Flagstaff Station is not open at weekends.
We were on the 3rd floor, the floors above 4th are not operated by Wyndham, with the gym and pool facilities being shared with those permanent tenants. Lifts open both ways servicing both lots of tenants.
Devlin, our Duty Manager at Wyndham Hotel Melbourne, shared this Mother’s Day story:
I had the fortunate pleasure of meeting the Gleeson family on their most recent trip to the newly opened Wyndham Hotel Melbourne(VIC). Normally the family books a hotel room at Crown Casino to all come together to share Mother’s Day and celebrate Michelle’s Birthday.
When the Gleeson family found out that Wyndham Hotel Melbourne was open, they booked the 3-Bedroom Grand apartment for the occasion.
After chatting with Michelle I realised that there were 4 generations under one room sharing in the Mother’s Day celebrations. I was so surprised and excited (possibly a little too excited) that I immediately offered to come up and take a photo for them so that they could have it for the album. Michelle was a bit hesitant at first saying that they would all be in their pyjamas. I jokingly said are they all wearing snuggies and Michelle replied yes. That was it, we had to capture this moment and Michelle said she would go up and speak to the rest of the gang.
Moments later I got a call and Michelle invited me up to take the family photo:
