We have been happy Owners now for a decade and more and have always enjoyed our membership in the WordMark South Pacific Club to its absolute maximum. When I discovered that the new Associate Resort was Couran Cove on the island paradise of South Straddie off the Queensland coast, to say I was delighted would be an understatement. I couldn’t wait to organize a visit to see what they had been able to achieve so far with the resort. The potential I knew was breathtaking. Continue reading
He invited his two aunties & their families from Melbourne.
As soon as they finalised the wedding date, I immediately booked a 3 bedroom apartment in Kirra, Queensland, which was available for 5 nights, to accommodate 8 people. We decided to stay in Kirra instead of staying overnight in Maleny, and we did not mind the 4 hour drive to Maleny and back to Kirra for the wedding. Continue reading
After our long drive from home, we made it to Wyndham Kirra Beach resort. We checked in and went up to our room. The kids were so excited but there was no time to rest, we had to go and explore.
The boys were so excited seeing the little park, mini golf and the pool; it was all so fantastic to them. What to do first? We managed all three before we had dinner and bed. All four children talked all night about the resort before drifting off to sleep. Continue reading
This photo was taken on our recent holiday at Kirra Beach in QLD.
We went for a walk on the beach to watch the sunset and had fun taking pics of the kids.
This is my 13 yr old daughter Tiana 🙂

Kirra Beach resort remains one of my favourite places to visit. Being less than two hours drive from my residence I usually manage to get down there a couple of times a year.
Kirra allows me to start my morning slowly, with a walk into Coolangatta to enjoy a leisurely breakfast Continue reading
How do you go about booking a holiday when your son, daughter-in-law & 2 grandchildren are going to arrive in our beautiful country all the way from Holland? Not just a normal visit, they want to visit Cairns, the Gold Coast and Port Macquarie before arriving at our house.
I set about the logistics of this mammoth task with both Wyndham’s and RCI’s support. Luckily, Wyndham had informed me that my points were expiring, but that if I transferred them to RCI they would give me an additional 2 years. Continue reading
For the first year or so we built up our Credits, as my wife was still working and we were virtually restricted to school holiday periods, which were then interspersed with the arrival of grandchildren.
We started, or rather our daughter started, the ball rolling by staying at the Sydney apartments, prior to an overseas trip in 2007. She spoke in glowing terms how beautiful the rooms were and how well located it was. Continue reading
This should be called ‘Our Story’ as it involves our marriage. Soon after Gavin and I met and were engaged we attended a promotion at the Lutwyche offices. We were given a prospectus as we were early and waited until other attendees arrived. After pursuing the information we looked at each other and said, “This is really good”, and we couldn’t wait to hear more information. Continue reading
My story starts with my husband and I taking our first adventure by walking the Milford Track in New Zealands’ South island where we met a very special young Japanese girl who was on her own adventure having left Japan for New Zealand without speaking a word of English. By the time we met her on the track she was quite good with her English and we established a very good friendship. Before leaving for home, we invited her to come and visit with us if she managed to travel to Australia. Continue reading
This photo was taken in August 2011 at WorldMark Resort Rotorua in New Zealand, which is nestled on the edge of beautiful Lake Rotorua. I was staying there for a few days with my brother and his family while we celebrated my niece’s 2nd birthday.
My husband and I have been WorldMark Owners since joining up at WorldMark Kirra Beach Qld in April 2004. Unbeknown to us, my brother, who lives in Auckland New Zealand, was joining up at the same time in a different country! Continue reading
