After an afternoon spent wandering the quaint old village of Richmond with its convict past and now home to delightful shops, and fortified with a delicious hot chocolate, we arrived at the resort for a three-night stay. Our plan was to explore some of the sights of southern Tasmania. We received a warm welcome and settled in to our comfortable, cosy room. The setting amid the native bushland is lovely and we saw birds and wallabies around. Congratulations to the company for preserving this precious area.
When searching through the many resorts available through Wyndham, we decided that Ramada Port Douglas looked like the tropical getaway we were hoping for! After doing a bit of research it became very clear that this was a prime wedding destination and since we have been together since 1995 and have two beautiful children but have not yet managed to make it down the aisle, we decided that Port Douglas would be the perfect destination to get married. Not only did it give us the chance to “run away” and elope, it also gave us the opportunity to have a private and personal wedding with our children.
During our membership of 13 years, we have now visited Ramada Resort Golden Beach 10 times, for a week at a time. Beautiful, clean and with a great location on the water, what makes this resort even better for us is that it is only an hour’s drive from our home in Brisbane.
Caloundra, which is the nearest city, has so much to offer. Great shopping, good restaurants and entertainment – we never fail to find something new every time we come here.
This photo has been taken many times by visitors to Golden Beach and will be taken many more times by future visitors.
Patty and I recently had a three-night stay using a Grab It deal at TRYP, Brisbane. The experience at the hotel was first class. It started with the very cherry welcome at this boutique hotel reception (not just at booking in but also every time you walk back into the building), followed by being personally escorted to our room where all the facilities of the room were explained to us. The personal handwritten welcome note on the bed (complete with 2 Chupa Chups) was a nice touch, and it was one of the funkiest, freshest rooms I have ever stayed in. Continue reading →
This was my second visit to Wanaka – this time in a different season. The first visit was in September 2014 during winter – this visit was in November 2016, and WOW, the change is breathtaking! From fully-covered snow peaks with grey landscapes to now, peaks highlighted with the snow remnants, colorful mountainsides and river beds covered with native flowers. Valleys are greener and days are longer to enjoy the varied landscapes of blue lakes, with time to reflect on a well-placed seat beside the lake. I stayed at Wyndham Vacation Resorts Wanaka, set among the trees, away from the busy centre of Wanaka – so so peaceful.
2017 started off well for our family, with a stay at Ramada Marcoola Beach (Sunshine Coast) for three nights on New Year’s Day.
We were not disappointed either, enjoying everything from the spacious rooms, short walk to the beach for body surfing, relaxing in the heated pool and going on a leisurely ride around the area on the resort bikes. The Surf Air restaurant onsite is also not to be missed, as they serve up delicious food and it’s a comfortable area to sit back, relax, have a drink and unwind.
Our holiday was everything we expected and we will certainly be going back for more this year.
Today I turned 50. I did so with grace and poise! Unfortunately it is not so for my girlfriend, Angela, who coincidentally shares the exact same day and year of birth. Herself and two friends have joined us at Wyndham Wanaka to celebrate this milestone – two 50ths and 46 years of friendship.

Let’s rewind … we’ve booked into the 4-bedroom presidential apartment – after all we need room to celebrate, and of course, a hot tub! The following days are all about us. We’ve made it this far in life without any mishaps – I’ve spoken too soon, but I’ll get to that. Continue reading →
Nineteen 100 Club members enjoy the very best of Tasmania over four unforgettable days.
Story by Candice Dittman, Sales Program Manager, Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific
On Wednesday 30 November 2016, nineteen 100 Club members – accompanied by a handful of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific staff members and Executives – kicked off one of the most memorable 100 Club events to date.
The event began at the beautiful Brooke St. Pier in Hobart with a signature cocktail and canapés in the stunning Glass House restaurant, before moving downstairs for dinner in Brooke St Larder. The restaurant was closed off especially for our 100 Club guests, who received personal attention throughout the event.
I think their faces tell the story.
