“Our Big Family Holiday in Fiji”

My wife Bec and I spent our belated honeymoon at Wyndham Resort Denarau Island, Fiji, some years ago and have returned since with our eldest son Christian as we just couldn’t deny him the unique Fijian experience we had. Well, we haven’t stopped raving about this beautiful place and this year, after saving up our Vacation Credits, we were able to shout our entire family (including our newborn son, Angus) on a wonderful overseas holiday!

My father, who is turning 70 this year had not been outside of Australia ever before and was a bit of a sceptic from the outset as he’d grown up an old fashioned country boy and thought “well what can I do there that I can’t do here in Australia?”  He soon changed his tune and had the best time ever!  My sister and her family also had never been outside of Australia so they were treated to an amazing Pacific Island experience as well.

We stayed in the brand new 3-Bedroom Deluxe apartments and let me say, they lived up to and beyond the expectations we had. You could literally live in these modern, spacious apartments (though most of the time we were out enjoying the warm hospitality that the Fijian people are renowned for).

During our stay, we visited the Garden Of The Sleeping Giant, did some island-hopping, snorkelling, dining and shopping at Port Denarau, paddled the rapids of the Middle Navua River as well as enjoyed many of the facilities and activities at the resort itself, the highlight being Lovo and Meke Night!

Our big family holiday was everything Bec and I had hoped and planned it would be and we’ll definitely return to Wyndham Resort Denarau Island again in the future.

P.S. As we were leaving my father asked me what we were doing for his 80th birthday!
