“Ballarat is a Hidden Gem”

Here are two photos from our recent Victorian holiday. We spent 4 nights each at Phillip Island, Torquay and Ballarat.

My favourite resort by far was Ballarat. It is a hidden gem set in beautiful gardens.

  1. My partner & I stayed at the Ballarat resort last July for a couple of nights. We were actually heading to Dalwynie winery in the Pyrenees for a “Long Lunch” afternoon & Worldmart was the perfect jumping off point as well as making for a much easier drive home than all the way back to Melbourne – 40 minutes or so rather than two hours!

  2. I would encourage all owners to visit Ballarat. The resort is really something special. Many holidays seem to be hardly memorable for where you stay…but not this place. Excellent historical resort with plenty of space to walk around and enjoy. The kids loved it… outdoors and indoors. Easy parking. Loads of things in the area to see and do. We actually went to the river to do some panning for gold (complete amateurs)…didn’t get any, but watched while a regular expert dug in and sifted out some real gold while we looked on. So after nearly 150 years and who knows how many people…the river is still producing results. Amazing.

  3. A great heritage resort in old beautiful building style with lovely staff in a must visit town of Ballarat.
