My husband and I, along with two of our friends, have recently returned from a fabulous holiday to Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
We had a most amazing week in Las Vegas, touring as many of the casinos as we could. If you actually go through the casino floor to the back of the casino, there are some fantastic displays of sculptures and themes associated with the particular casino. The water fountain show at the Bellagio is amazing both during the day and with the lights behind it at night. We also saw the erupting volcano and the pirate show. During the day, it was good crowd wise but at night was when it really came to life. We went to the Freemont Street Light Show Experience and just stood in amazement of the roof putting on a display with millions of led lights.
We made a day tour to the Grand Canyon and Skywalk, and yes, we braved the Skywalk. It was a bit scary at the rim of the Canyon as there are no barriers, but the Skywalk was amazing, walking on glass and looking 4,000 feet down to the floor of the Canyon. Wasn’t scary at all, thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The photographer told the boys to look as though they were being pushed over the edge by me! We also took a helicopter flight down to the floor of the Canyon and just sitting on a ridge above the Colorado River was so peaceful and you just sit there in awe of the view. Stopped in at Hoover Dam on the way back.
Following our week in Las Vegas, we went by Lux Bus to Los Angeles. We purchased a two day hopper pass to Disneyland which allows you to also go to California World. Watched the parades at both Disneyland and California World. We also did a tour to Universal Studios and the Studio Tour was lots of fun. On the Friday we had an amazing tour to San Diego Seaworld. Just absolutely spellbound by the Orca show, had to go and see it twice! There are also some amazing animals such as Beluga Whales, Polar Bears and Walruses and to get up so close is really emotional. We also did tours to Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Venice Beach.
On the final day, whilst waiting to go to the airport, we found a car show at the Convention Centre, only three blocks away from WorldMark at Anaheim. All the 2013 new models and we could also take a test drive, so my husband and I chose a 2013 Comaro. Wow!
We were able to drive the car ourselves but chose not to, as they drive on the wrong side of the road in America! We had a driver and he really showed us what the car could do around the streets of Los Angeles!!
Thank you WorldMark South Pacific for if we did not have Vacation Credits, we would not be doing these amazing holidays!
