An awesome escapade

Port Macquarie beachMy family and I drove to Port Macquarie for a few days of stay without knowing anything about the place— It was our first time.

Along the way, we passed by the Hunter Valley and decided to look around, have a taste of the finest cheese & wine, and oh boy! ‘Isn’t that great?!’

Driving to Port Macquarie may be tiring alright, but as soon as we reach our destination, we were warmly welcomed in a very accommodating reception, and indeed, a lovely and comfortable place. Like home away from home for the whole family.

The kids swum all day in a gorgeous pool, as well as the beach, which was about 5 minutes walk from our door step….oh, what a wonderfully relaxing site!

The next day, we went whale watching and that is simply an experience of a lifetime. A cruise on the local river with the family followed.

We got to our unit and pulled our legs up to a very relaxing lounge ’til we decided to spend some time on the spa—what a day full of fun!

The next day, we found ‘Timbertown’ (an authentic heritage township).  We had soo much fun for a day with the family bonding together.

We also visited the Koala Hospital where the kids had fun learning more about these sweet creatures. It was great.

Unfortunately, we had to return home the next day. The kids hadn’t had enough, and made us  promise to bring them back again one day. 🙂

  1. Peter & Sheila, glad you enjoyed our town. I have lived here for 25 yrs, probably take too much for granted, but there is plenty to keep you busy. Hope you get to come back, for longer. Cheers, Sue…. :o)
