My husband and I decided to take advantage of the fact that Christmas was mid-week in 2013 and take a week off from our business.
As we hadn’t had a real break since we went to Ramada Port Douglas for a week in July 2012, we were VERY ready to get away, but most WorldMark resorts we considered were already fully booked for Christmas. So we started looking further afield, and finally settled on Las Vegas – a place we have never really had any great desire to visit, but WorldMark Las Vegas – Boulevard was available and L.V is close to the Grand Canyon, so we thought, ‘Why not?’. Hard to believe it was exactly 13 years ago that we set foot on Fijian soil as brand new Wyndham Owners, staying at WorldMark Resort Denarau Island. We decided to elope and have our wedding ceremony on the beach, next to the pool at the resort – just Ray and I, oh and a fantastic English couple, Rob and Ann that we met at the bar earlier in the week. My husband and I went to stay at the new Associate Resort, Ramada Couran Cove in November.
We were absolutely delighted with our unit, which was right over the water so we could look down at the fish and large crabs just below our balcony. We loved the whole concept of the Resort, with its sandy beaches right inside the circle of units and the wild life e.g. the wallabies which came down to the water’s edge. We loved the location of the WorldMark unit which was so close to the reception, the restaurants and the beautiful swimming pools. Continue reading →
We have been Owners since September 2011. Over the last two years, we have enjoyed our stays at Port Douglas, San Francisco and Seven Mile Beach- home away from home, with friendly staff, great food and wonderful sightseeing.
Patty & Stephen having a birthday toast with the gift of flowers and wine
One of our sons, Stephen, lives in Sydney. As a result, we visit 2 – 3 times a year and always stay at Wyndham Sydney.
Recently, around Patty’s birthday date, we made our latest trip. When we arrived in our room there was a beautiful arrangement of flowers, plus a bottle of wine. There was a note with the flowers wishing Patty a happy birthday from Stephen. Continue reading →
Recently my partner (Jan) and I experienced a traveller’s nightmare: the 11th hour cancellation of one pivotal sector of a lengthy and complicated overseas trip! Did the world end? Did we have to cancel everything? No, thanks to Travel Club by Wyndham and in particular our (long suffering) but supremely professional consultant, Brian. Continue reading →
A pic we took of this magnificent building – WorldMark Resort Ballarat
We recently returned to the “magnificent” WorldMark Resort at Ballarat. Having stayed three times prior, we thought we knew what to expect….. you know the normal pleasant arrival procedure and welcoming one gets as a proud Owner!
After a wet trip down from Sydney, we arrived tired and ready to relax at our favourite resort.
Good service is one thing, but we received an exceptional welcome from Nola (Ed: the Resort Manager) and the team, from the minute the front door was opened for us by Lisa with a “BIG” smile and a “welcome back”!!! Continue reading →
What better way to celebrate a big birthday then to take your husband to Sydney for the week! Paul turned the big 50, and the stay in Sydney was made so much better by the friendly and supportive staff at Wyndham Sydney. They made our stay absolutely fabulous.
We had not been to Sydney for fifteen years, so the central location of Wyndham, the closeness to bus and train transport (Central Station just down the road), the very comfortable stylish rooms and the beautiful weather, made for an unbelievable experience. Continue reading →
The trip of a life time? Not if you’re a WorldMark Owner.
Let me explain.
We have just returned from a six week holiday in the USA and Canada. We started in Anaheim (WorldMark Anaheim). Our itinerary included Disneyland, Los Angeles, Hollywood, Santa Monica, back to Disneyland for the next couple of days, Universal studios, a Dodgers Baseball game, back to Disneyland again and down to San Diego to Sea World.
