“A Unique Place That Most Tourists Miss”

Hi Wyndham travellers,

Recently my husband and I went to Ramada Port Douglas (QLD) for a quick break.  We travelled to Mossman Gorge for the day – it is only a 20 minute drive from Port Douglas.

When I was growing up in this part of the region it was our play ground. This wonderful place is located in the southern part of the World Heritage Listed Daintree National Park.

“Our Dream Came True”

It has always been my and my wife’s dream to complete the Cruise from Alaska to Canada, so, with the help of Sophie from Travel Club by Wyndham, our dream came true in September of 2014.

Canada to Alaska cruise holiday

Sophie arranged everything for us, from the flights from Brisbane to Anchorage, our three day stay in Anchorage, train to Seward to catch our cruise ship (we took advantage of the 2 for 1 deal) and sailed for 7 days to Vancouver Canada. Stopping at places like Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan to name but a few. Continue reading

Tasmania: “Our Little Island Paradise”

I’m Larna, and along with my husband Andy, we are both Wyndham employees as well as new WorldMark Owners. I’ve been an employee at Wyndham for 7 years, but my first taste of visiting a Wyndham Resort as an Owner was at the beautiful Wyndham Seven Mile Beach, Tasmania.

The staff at the resort were bubbly and helpful, and our lovely room (1-Bedroom Deluxe) had all the comforts we expected and more. To make use of the space available to us, we made sure we purchased lots of Tasmanian produce (ok, mainly cheese, chocolate and wine!) to make use of our kitchen and sunny courtyard.

But the real hero of Tasmania is of course the landscape. We took our hire car through the Huon Valley trail, all the way to the Bay of Fires on the North-East coast and were in constant awe of the countryside. Continue reading

Enjoying the Butterflies at Coffs Harbour

Here are some photos of my son Samuel enjoying the Butterfly House at Coffs Harbour when we stayed there at WorldMark Resort Coffs Harbour – Terraces (NSW) in late 2010.

He was the only one of the 5 of us (including 2 older daughters, wife & myself) to have butterflies land on his face.  As you can tell he loved it.

A Wonderful Trip to the USA

Visited USA last December / January and was in USA for 6 weeks.  We had the most wonderful time staying a number of WorldMark hotels. Staff were wonderful and their assistance to us was valuable to the success of our holiday. Thank you WorldMark.

We visited the Grand Canyon just after it snowed and it was amazing. The snow made it extra special and spectacular.

2 Nights In The New Wyndham Hotel Melbourne

My husband had a birthday in April and said he wanted to have a couple of nights in the city for his present. We are both retired and on a limited budget so I thought why not use the timeshare. We only have 6,000 Credits in Wyndham, so use it for small midweek breaks usually at the end of another holiday.

We live in the outer East of Melbourne so we are familiar with the city. For a couple of months before I kept my eye out for good dinner deals on Groupon and managed one dinner at Docklands and another in South Yarra. Parking would have cost $30 per day and seeing we did not need the car we used the train. We alighted at Flagstaff Station and it was a block and a half to Wyndham Hotel Melbourne (VIC). Note Flagstaff Station is not open at weekends.

We were on the 3rd floor, the floors above 4th are not operated by Wyndham, with the gym and pool facilities being shared with those permanent tenants. Lifts open both ways servicing both lots of tenants.

“Phillip Island Is A Must-Go Destination”

When considering becoming a new Club member, one of the fantastic benefits I could see was the chance to arrange family holidays at local and exotic locations.

My first holiday with WorldMark was a great family get-together and my choice was Ramada Phillip Island (VIC).  With three generations of family in attendance and other family dropping in for day trips, this destination hit all the pluses for a family reunion.

44th Wedding Anniversary At Golden Beach

This photo was taken from our balcony at WorldMark Resort Golden Beach in Caloundra, QLD. We were lucky enough to be on the top floor of the resort and our view over the entrance of Pumicestone Passage was sensational. I happened to catch the magnificent sunrise through the clouds with Bribie Island in the foreground.

My wife and I were there for a week, celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. We joined WorldMark South Pacific Club by Wyndham on our anniversary back in 2001, so it was our 14th anniversary with the Club. Joining WorldMark South Pacific Club is one of the best investments we have ever made. We have had so many excellent holidays over the last 14 years and our stay at Caloundra was no exception.
