Fiji – 1st Timers

Our first afternoon in Fiji - Taylor, 16, & Zac, 11

I’d just like to share our holiday experiences from our recent trip to Denarau, Fiji with you.

This was my first trip to Fiji and the 1st international trip for the kids.

Upon arrival (4 hours before check-in), we were invited to wait down at the pool area where we were pleasantly surprised with complimentary free “ice cold” fresh fruit juices and cold fruit kebabs.

The desk staff were brilliant.

The kids were straight into the pool (as it was rather hot). That’s pretty much where they stayed for the next 8hrs (except for a quick pizza snack).

They quickly made friends with the Activities guys from Wyndham (Ratu & Jo) and became fast friends. The guys were brilliant with the kids. They were that comfortable with the guys, that they participated in each and every activity provided, heaven for me as it gave me some “kid-free” time.

Even though it was supposedly “Wet” season, we didn’t see any rain until 3 days into our stay, even that was light…we got a tropical storm 2 days after that (lasted for 10 mins) then the sun was blazing again.

We have found our own piece of paradise here on Denarau and we will be repeat visitors.

We hardly even noticed the renovations taking place. The noise was minimal.
