Finding love in the most unexpected place!

When I joined Worldmark back in 2001 I never knew what it would lead to.  I went on a Club Tour of Tasmania in Feb 2005 with a group of about 30 other owners most of which were couples, but about 7 single people as well including myself.  It was a 9 day tour and on around day 2 I got talking to one of the single men on the tour, also an owner, and we became good friends.  We got quite a bit of teasing from our fellow travellers as it became obvious that our relationship was blossoming.

We decided to keep in touch after the tour ended, however since I lived in Adelaide at the time and he lived in Sydney, the logistics of a long distance relationship presented it’s difficulties.  Over the next few months we visited Worldmark in Cairns and Ballarat and I eventually moved to Sydney.  We took a couple of short breaks to Flynns Beach, Port Macquarie and fell in love with the place and decided to make the “sea change” in 2007.  On July 15, 2011 we got married and have never been happier. We thought it only fitting to spend our honeymoon at “Treetops” in Coffs Harbour.

It just goes to show that you find love in the most unexpected of places when you least expect it!

  1. My story is not quite so ‘dreamy’ as this, however I am very happy to still be part of the ‘Worldmark family’…

I also purchased some shares in 2001-one of the first in Australia as it happened… Sadly I was divorced in 2006 and all I have left from my marriage of any value (besides two beautiful sons) is my Worldmark/Wyndham Vacation Shares… I may no longer be able to afford to have a mortgage, but at least I can provide family and friends with some memorable holidays…

My eldest son who just turned 15 asked to go to Kirra Resort for his birthday, as he had lovely memories of that place “when we were all together”. So we did go there and the three of us boys had a wonderful few days…

I have given holidays to my parents and to my sister and her family as they found it hard to afford such a nice quality type of accommodation… We have even shared time with them on a couple of occasions, so it has all worked out well in that regard…

Best decision I made was to buy shares with Wyndham/Worldmark..Cheers :-)
